Simple Halloween Memories...

It's been along time GIRLFRIENDS!!!!

Where in the world is Susie? I'm still here, I just have had more fun
with my new Etsy doll shop. It has kept me busy, that's for sure.
I have been checking out my blogroll to see what y'all are doing.
As usual you have all been so fun and inspirational.
It's time now to start blogging again.
Last night I decided to take pictures of my vintage simple Halloween decor around the house.
I love simple and tasteful decorating. To me less is more. I like to put out things that I can actually enjoy their uniqueness. Too much, and for me I don't appreciate each piece.
Every piece has been thought out.

This display is in my entry way. I say vintage Halloween because there is nothing on this table that is newer than 10 years. I have found these pieces over the years including the magazines.

Some of my favorites are the little Trick-or-Treaters. I got these
years ago at Joann's. They are so cute. The happy cute witch
was also a Joann's purchase years ago.

Joann's use to have some really fun Halloween tins. I haven't
seen any I like there for Halloween in the last few years.

My Halloween greeting is newer. I purchased it from the
Tai Pan Trading Company
about 4 years ago. If you have a Tai Pan Trading Comp near you
make sure you go it's AWESOME! Be warned to take money with you.

My hearth is the busiest part of my decorating, most of which
I have made myself some 20 years ago.

Happy Halloween and the ghosts come out every year. I made
these years ago when I was doing tole painting. I even cut the blocks and ghosts out myself.

This candelabra is the one new piece I purchased this year at Joann's. I really like it.

This Mummy I tole painted about 20 years ago.
He is one of my pride and joys.

I always decorate my top shelves of my bookcases for the holidays so the light will show them off. The little witch picture my daughter designed and painted for my some years ago and I always reserve a special spot for it.

I painted these little Treater's years ago and they are
still some of  my favs.

I love cookie jars! They are just so fun when you have
kids and now they are loved by my grandchildren. I painted
Miss Witchy Poo about 25 years ago. You cannot even
get this pattern any longer to paint.

I have saved my all time ever favorite until last.
This is my Happy Jack that is the top of a large
cookie jar. I painted him at the same time
I did Miss Witchy Poo. He was the most fun! He
just brings back so many wonderful memories for me
of my children and their friends growing up.
 Memories of happy fun Halloweens.
